Steve Forrester learned the trade from the man who first brought European cabinetry to Georgia — two years apprenticed in his shop, two more in another, and then his own shop in Clermont in 1990.
Thirty-five years later he is still at it: kitchens, closets, built-ins, bars and vanities across North Georgia and metro Atlanta. Work he builds by hand in his own shop includes kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, entertainment centers, bookcases, closets and custom range hoods.
Every job is built to your specifications — your measurements, your wood, your finish, your hardware. There is no sales team here and no showroom floor. When you call, you get Steve. When your kitchen goes in, he is the one holding the level.
That is how he has stayed busy for three and a half decades, almost entirely on referrals — from lake houses on Lanier to renovations inside the Perimeter.
A customer needed the bed in their camper rebuilt to gain storage underneath. Same approach as a kitchen — measure it, build it, fit it.
